OMRAIN STUDIO PROJECT 01
Case study cover for a zero-to-one U.S. wellness brand launch system Launch / U.S. wellness

U.S.-market wellness startup · Pre-launch

PositioningLaunch strategyCustomer journey

A launch needs a shared direction.

Challenge
Product, website, content and channel work were scattered across a lean startup.
Diagnosis
These workstreams needed a shared positioning and a practical sequence.
Intervention
Connected positioning, a 3/7/14/30-day customer journey and channel priorities in one launch system.
Delivered
A zero-to-one brand and operating system, with six or more channels sequenced for launch.
Read the decision & scope

The work focused on launch readiness: giving a small team one structure for product, content, website and channel decisions. The customer journey connected those touchpoints over time. The evidence here describes delivered planning and systems, rather than a claimed sales uplift.

OMRAIN STUDIO PROJECT 02
Case study cover for a market and customer insight system Research / Global DTC

Global direct-to-consumer brand · Market & customer research

Market researchCustomer insightDecision systems

From information to a decision loop.

Challenge
External research, competitor monitoring and customer interviews needed to inform the same decisions.
Diagnosis
The value lay in connecting evidence to its business implications and follow-through.
Intervention
Integrated three evidence streams with recurring review, assigned actions and follow-up.
Delivered
A formalized research-report practice and a monthly research review.
Read the decision & scope

Third-party research, competitor monitoring and recurring customer interviews fed one working loop. Each insight was connected to implications, ownership, due dates and review. This case demonstrates a research-to-action system; it does not assign a revenue effect to that system.

OMRAIN STUDIO PROJECT 03
Case study cover for a global DTC brand refresh and multi-partner delivery Brand / Partner orchestration

Global direct-to-consumer brand · Brand refresh & rollout

Creative directionPartner coordinationIntegrated rollout

One brief. Many specialist partners.

Challenge
Identity, packaging, web, films and U.S. events had to work as one brand experience.
Diagnosis
A shared strategic brief was the basis for coordinating different specialist outputs.
Intervention
Aligned the refresh and rollout across identity, packaging, web, four films and two U.S. activations.
Outcome
One integrated rollout, with six collaboration leads from on-site conversations.
Read the decision & scope

The role covered brand transformation and external-partner coordination. The delivered work linked multiple formats to one strategic brief. Six collaboration leads describe potential partnerships, not signed contracts or realized revenue.

02 / Context-first method

Understand first. Then decide what to change.

The depth of research follows the stakes, uncertainty and resources. A small decision may need a focused scan; a consequential one may need deeper inquiry.

Evidence → interpretation → recommendation. Return to an earlier question whenever new evidence changes the answer.

  1. 01

    Context

Why this problem, now? Read the category, culture, technology and relevant rules.

  2. 02

    Reality

Inspect the offer, pricing, customers, channels, team, budget and operating constraints.

  3. 03

    Landscape

Study competitors, substitutes and the alternatives customers actually choose.

  4. 04

    Diagnosis

Separate the symptom from the bottleneck. Name the decision that matters.

  5. 05

    Strategy

Choose the few moves worth making, with evidence, tradeoffs and priorities.

  6. 06

    Expression & experience

Turn the decision into the right identity, content, website, journey or specialist brief.

03 / Ways to work together

Bring a question worth resolving.

Three ways to work together. The scope and exact deliverables are agreed around your decision before work begins.

01

Context & Insight Sprint

“We need to understand a market before investing in it.”

A focused study of the market, category, audience or cultural context. Leave with an opportunity view, the evidence behind it and a brief for the decision ahead.

Typical outputs: competitor comparison, opportunity assessment, key uncertainties and recommendations.

02

Strategy & Positioning Sprint

“We think we need a rebrand. Is that the real problem?”

Clarify the bottleneck and choose a response: positioning, offer, market-entry priorities, content or founder IP, website direction, or a specialist brief.

Typical outputs: positioning and messaging framework, decision priorities and an implementation brief.

03

Fractional Strategy Partner

“We need senior judgment, without a full-time strategy hire.”

An ongoing decision partner for research synthesis, key-work reviews, partner selection and strategic quality control. Agree the scope and review rhythm around real needs.

Typical outputs: decision sessions, key-deliverable reviews and specialist-partner evaluations.

See related work

The recommendation may be to change the offer first, hold off on market entry, or hire a specialist. Research and deliverables are sized to the decision; a rebrand is never assumed.

Partner & vendor evaluation can sit within any engagement: research, comparison, selection, briefing and quality review.

What working together feels like

  1. Fit & frame

Start with the situation, stakes and what has already been tried. Agree the scope before work begins.

  2. Diagnose & decide

Review evidence together; make uncertainty, tradeoffs and the recommendation explicit.

  3. Build & hand over

Create the useful outputs or brief specialists, then hand over the logic and reusable assets.

  4. Learn

Use a milestone or post-launch review when it can improve the next decision.

04 / Selected thinking

Notes on seeing clearly.

Short notes on context, judgment and work that stays useful.

01 / Strategy

A rebrand is a decision, not a starting point.

A request for a new identity is useful evidence: something no longer feels right. It does not yet tell us where the friction sits.

Read note

First inspect the offer, the reasons people buy, the experience they receive and the alternatives they consider. If the promise is unclear, positioning may help. If the experience repeatedly breaks that promise, the response must reach beyond visual identity.

The useful question: what would a rebrand change, and what would remain unresolved?

02 / Research

An insight needs an owner.

In a global DTC brand, external research, competitor monitoring and customer interviews were separate activities. The missing piece was a shared review and action process.

Read note

Rey’s work connected those three sources through insight summaries, implications, priority actions, owners and due dates. Monthly reviews and a recurring interview program made the evidence part of an operating rhythm. The documented result is a research and decision process—not a measured revenue uplift.

Before adding another slide, ask: who will act on this finding, and when will we review it?

03 / Creative practice

Make work that remains useful.

A content calendar ends. A clear editorial point of view, a reusable brief and an evidence archive can keep informing the next piece of work.

Read note

Treat an output as part of a working system: what judgment does it capture, where can it be reused, and what will tell us when it needs to change? AI can help produce and organize; context, taste and responsibility still shape the decision.

The useful question: after this delivery, what becomes easier to do well?
